Just a quick shout-out today, I wanted to highlight Cult Classifications on YouTube, a channel that plays and discusses video games of past eras that weren’t exactly what you’d call “smash hits”. These are games that might be easy to make fun of, but the creator takes an open-minded approach and actually praises the ideas that work… or at least those that may have worked under better circumstances. It’s good, honest, long-form gaming content if you’re into that sort of thing, and the channel itself is astonishingly small—just shy of 10k subscribers at the moment. The latest video about Dark Void is as good a place to start as any.
