The Memorial Day Weekend Eleventy Conversion Project

So much for games this weekend. —Skep

Look, I might punch up this intro later, but for the sake of brevity, here's what you need to know: This site now exceeds 200 pages and I don't know that I can keep maintaining them individually. A static site generator, which can assemble your site together from templates, seemed like a good option, and SHOULD be an attainable "next step" for a hobbyist site builder.

Except there don't seem to be any good resources for anybody who doesn't have a career in web design, and I am growing extremely bitter about this. So my plan is to spend the weekend doing a crash-course in Eleventy, which bills itself as "simple". Ha. Haha. Ha.

With any luck, maybe in documenting my journey I'll be able to break this down so that anybody following in my footsteps doesn't have to go through the pain I do.

In my defense, it's goddamn 2025. If you call your application simple but the first step is to open a command line interface then you have immediately failed.
